From 1st August 2019, we will no longer be able to receive or send faxes.

We are currently working jointly with Park House Surgery in Bagshot to provide doctor and nurse appointments in the evenings on a rota basis.  Appointments are available Monday to Friday until 8pm and are available to patients of the 2 Surgeries.  From 1st october 2018 additional weekend appointments will be available at designated practices throughout Surrey Heath.  Please click here for more information.

Lightwater Surgery was given an overall rating of Good for our CQC inspection in December 2018.

We encourage patients to register for our online services.  This will allow patients to book appointments as well as order repeat prescriptions without having to wait on the phone to speak to the next available recpetionist.  Additionally, patients are able to view aspects of their clinical record and any recent blood test results.  Online services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Childhood Immunisations

You will be notified when vaccination is due.

Health Check Clinics

Health promotion has long been part of our service provision. All patients over the age of 16 are encouraged to have a MOT every 3 years. This is carried out by an appointment with our health care assistant and is free of charge.

The over 75's can have a yearly MOT which is also carried out by our health care assistant.

Family Planning

This clinic is held every other week on Thursday evenings from 17:30 – 20:00 depending on staff availability. Dr Sara Jones and one of the practice nurses are available to see patients.

These clinics are held for patients who require advice regarding any method of contraception, including the contraceptive pill, contraceptive injections/implants, coil fittings and also hormone replacement therapy, (HRT), and menopausal advice.

Flu Vaccination

Influenza vaccination is recommended for any patient over the age of 65 or those with heart, lung or kidney disease or those with diabetes and residents of nursing/rest homes.

Coronary Heart Disease Clinic

Patients who have suffered a heart attack, angina or have been admitted to hospital for treatment of heart problems will be assessed by the District Nursing team on discharge. Patients will then be referred to our specialist practice nurse for monitoring in the clinic.

Diabetes Clinic

This clinic is run by the practice sisters and they provide advice and care on diabetes.

Hypertension Clinics

Patients with established, stable high blood pressure will have their follow up appointments in the hypertension clinic with the practice nurses. The appointment includes a blood pressure check, blood tests and lifestyle advice. 

Minor Surgery

Some minor surgical procedures are carried out by Dr Davis. Patients should book a normal appointment with their usual doctor in the first instance.

Smoking Cessation Clinic

These are held by one of our practice nurses, (Christina Curtin). Please contact reception to make an appointment.
