Please do not use the online booking system if you are experiencing Covid symptoms - either cough, shortness of breath, a high temperature, loss of smell or taste or recent contact with Covid. Please phone the surgery and speak to a receptionist as your appointment needs to be managed differently to keep you separate from other patients.

You may wish to use our automated booking system when phoning the surgery. This allows patients to book or change appointments 24-hours a day, 7 days a week even when the surgery is closed.
Routine appointments can also be made online via the link at the top of this page. Registration forms for our online services are available at reception.
You may consult any of the doctors at the practice, although we encourage patients to keep to one doctor, particularly during a period of illness of if investigations are being carried out. Should your doctor be unavailable, you will be offered an appointment with another doctor. Patients who have a medically urgent problem will be seen the same day. Patients who become ill later in the day may be seen by the duty doctor who may wish to speak to them by phone initially.
GP appointments are 10 minutes long and when patients present with a number of problems we may not be able to deal with all of these in one appointment. We try our best to deal with as many problems as possible in the time given, however, we have to consider patients in later appointments and ensure we do not run late.
Patients who are unwell with a fever or a rash can be placed in a side room on arrival and will be seen as a priority.
If you feel a face-to-face appointment is not necessary then a doctor may be able to call you back.
Pre-bookable Appointments (More Than 48 Hours In Advance)
Appointments are available to pre-book up to 3 weeks in advance for all GPs at the surgery. Most of these are in the afternoon, with a limited few in the morning.
We also release some appointments 48 hours in advance.
Appointments booked too far in advance causes an increase in patients not attending.
Book on the Day Appointments
Patients can phone on the day they wish to see a GP and if they ring prior to 11:00, an appointment that day is guaranteed with a GP. This may not be with the GP requested after 11:00. On exceptionally busy days, the duty doctor may phone prior to an appointment being offered in order to ascertain your clinical priority.
Evening Surgeries & Extended Access
These surgeries are available for all patients, but they have been designed to improve access for patients who work or are unable to get to the surgery during the day.
We are currently working jointly with Park House Surgery in Bagshot to provide doctor and nurse appointments in the evenings on a rota basis. Evening appointments are available Monday to Friday until 8pm and are available to patients of the 2 surgeries.
Lightwater Surgery will be open until 8pm every Wednesday and Thursday. Park House Surgery in Bagshot will provide this service on Mondays. Friday and Tuesday evening will be provided on a rota basis between the 2 surgeries.
In addition to this, Lightwater Surgery will continue to provide both its traditional Tuesday evening clinic and the evening family planning clinic that have been running since 2005.
